We all know this world is going to fucking hell faster by the day. Chat Pile are its epicenter, however, and with that, they’re going even further in that acknowledgement by digging their way deep and hard into the shit show that it is at its own level. Splattered noise and unfiltered disgust color over endless blue skies in all of its putrid colors of human feces excreted from hypocrisy and the blood of the wronged, painting the picturesque American horror on the Oklahoma City quartet’s unforgiving debut full-length God’s Country.

In stepping directly onto the turf of what wicked mankind creates, vocalist Raygun Busch, guitarist Luther Manhole, bassist Stin and drummer Captain Ron feed off and project the devoid through a sludgy mess of guitar slop and atom-smashing drums that would probably elect to destroy all matter and usher in the extinction of us if they truly could for all our dumbass follies. Instead, they settle to snare a cynic’s laugh from it all. Let the anxiety of being alive in it all feed your faith in our collective failure.

Highlights: “Why”, “Anywhere”, “grimace_smoking_weed.jpeg”
