The 1975 – “Happiness”

With “Happiness”, the second single from the 1975′s forthcoming Jack Antonoff co-produced fifth studio effort, Being Funny In a Foreign Language, the idiosyncratic alternative pop band are in their pocket. The irony? It’s a track they regard as a result of a loose jam where they simply trusted the process. Sparkling with just the right amount of pop-rock matter and ‘90s FM pastiche – toss in the obligatory Matty Healy-isms – it goes down super easy, even when it’s main character is overthinking everything going on in his relationship.
