Sky Ferreira has become something akin to the My Bloody Valentine of art pop, with her last and only full-length album Night Time, My Time nearing the decade anniversary mark. Its follow-up Masochism has achieved folk tale status in the music world, with only the moody Lynch-laden atmosphere of “Downhill Lullaby” emerging as its early evidence of existing. It now adds another mysterious layer to it with “Don’t Forget”. A tremolo-smeared bout of synth-pop and shoegaze she co-wrote alongside Tamaryn and producer Jorge Elbrecht, the listen feels like a natural extension of Night Time, My Time, erasing the distance between the two in crafting yet another distinctive sonic bliss oblivion.
