Jennifer Vanilla is the acerbic pop performance moniker of former Ava Luna vocalist Becca Kauffman, and after hearing “Take Me a for a Ride”, the lead single from their forthcoming solo debut full-length Castle In the Sky, it’s understandable to hear why even the endlessly shape-shifting cosmic avant-pop of their previous band could not contain the aspirations of her own musical curiosities.
