Moor Mother’s new album Jazz Codes was just announced a couple weeks back. It brought with it the witchcrafted experimental free jazz meditation “Woody Shaw” alongside R&B singer Melanie Charles, and given that the whole listen drops at week’s end, the cycle is moving fast with another culture thought featuring the rising NYC underground rapper AKAI SOLO and Philly singer justmadnice called “RAP JASM”. As the title suggests, Camae Aweya goes hard on the bars, though its backdrop production is cosmically weaved into forces greater looking toward the future.
