The valiantly nihilistic noisy music crew from Canada known as KEN mode don’t get discussed nearly as much as they should for a band that has consistently put out some of the most damaging listens over the last two decades, but we are about to get another chance when their eighth studio effort, NULL, arrives to corner autumn’s dying days. With its lead single “A Love Letter”, the four-piece commit fully to being the band who is going to put to sound the collapse of the body and brain experienced these last few years. Heavy music with sax chaos (courtesy of newest member in multi-instrumentalist Kathryn Kerr) is also welcome.
