Everything Dummy is doing right now excites in sound and energy released through a collage of avant pop, post-punk, dream-pop, and new age wavelengths. Last year, the Los Angeles band follow up 2020′s coupling of promising EPs with their first realization of this on their superb debut LP Mandatory Enjoyment. “Mono Retriever” and “Pepsi Vacuum”, two new singles as part of Sub Pop’s Singles Club Vol. 7, continue that color rush of pop aggression and dreamy revelations respectively. Impressionistic in their politics, each simultaneously acts as warnings and a reawakening from the corrupt world around us.
