“People Watching”, the first preview off politically morbid Chicago post-punk band Ganser’s new EP, Nothing You Do Matters, resembles an alien sensation in your surroundings: Scenes familiar, but altogether lost in an unfriendly existence. With an added exponent by Liars’ Angus Andrew on production who spirals synths around similarly strange figures and their self-important existences, it leaves Ganser to dance while drowning in the whelming nihilism of trying to stay alive in it all.
