French post-hardcore burners Bird In Row have definitely been playing the long game from the very beginning. Enigmatic on their 2012 debut You, Me & Violence, they would remove some of the shadows and become confrontationally in your face with its sophomore follow-up with 2018′s We Already Lost the World. Their new single “Water Wings” is perhaps their most fully-realized in its towering pyre yet. “I don’t want to be old enough to remember all the things I projected, but never touched in fear of ruining dreams I don’t possess.” A nihilist’s defeat comes crashing quickly here.
